OUR STORY
You had our backs, now we want to have yours!
Got Your 6 Equine Assisted Learning is a long-time dream of Sara & Ken's. Both of them, having been through their own trauma, having friends and family in service roles as well as long term careers in oil and gas, they saw a real need in their community for authentic, empowering supports.
"Our hope is we can provide a connection for you with our horses which can help you build an armor of life skills that will stay with you long after you leave the arena. A safe place to be vulnerable, think outside the box and learn new way of being your best you!"

What is Equine Assisted Learning?
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an objective based, hands on learning approach where horses mirror our human strengths & weaknesses by showing our own behavior back to us.
Through active learning, we can build memories which we can then recall later to apply the knowledge into our daily lives.

Facilitator guided programs encourage personal development, engagement & validation through positive, hands on interaction with horses as the teacher. This is not your same ol' classroom seminar!

All activities are done on the ground, no previous riding or horse experience is needed.

Each session has a specific objective, such as problem solving, leadership, teamwork, communication skills & much more!

EAL can help with stress, OSI, PTS, trauma, relationships & confidence. EAL is not therapy, but a personal growth tool.

Why Horses?
Horses are large, powerful prey animals, yet they also have an unbelievable ability to sense human emotion. Just being in the presence of a horse can reduce stress! Their survival depends on the ability to constantly be aware of the surroundings, live in the now & react quickly to perceived danger.
Horses cannot judge, overthink or lie. What they perceive in this moment, is the only reality there is to them. As prey animals, horses expect & appreciate leadership & authenticity.
In return, their feedback is honest & immediate, allowing a unique teaching opportunity for humans.
